In Room 5 currently they are learning place-value, as well as total value and face value in maths.
In their Reading/English class they are learning conjunctions, onomatopoeia, alliteration and much more.
For R.E around the whole school our topic is Lent. We have been doing Lenten promises for the Lenten seasons.
Yesterday on the 29th of February the whole Middle School went on their trip to Otari Bush to learn more about the bush.

In Room 5 at the moment they have been making up new characters that are farmers for the book Fantastic Mr Fox. So far they have drawn their characters they have also written about them.In maths they have finished looking at place value and are starting a new subject which is adding and subtract in columns.

In Room 5 they had an Art Day where they painted Nikau Palms. They got to do art for the whole day! Lucky!

At the moment Room Five is updating their profiles.They are making new ones to display outside their classroom.Since they've been learning to write, hopefully their profiles are better than their first ones!

Yesterday we had a school rendition of The Olympics. Each classroom had a different teacher with a different game/sport. All the houses were split into smaller groups and they competed with the other houses' smaller teams. But on some occasions the teams had to compete against their own house. Even the littlies got to be part of the teams.Room five had a game where we had three quoits/rings and we had to try to throw it into a hoop. The middles and seniors had the same distance hoops while the juniors had a shorter distance.It was a very successful day where everyone of all ages enjoyed the activities.
