Welcome to the first week back to Term 3. The Student Council will be resuming the assembly song and will be hosting a Talent Quest in week 3. The school-wide topic this term is Anatomy.

School Assembly
School Assembly
Most Mondays the whole school meets in Connolly hall for an Assembly. These are run by the children introducing virtues and songs. Any school notices are read out, Father James usually has a few words to say and sometimes we have a speaker is arranged for the school to listen to. Last Monday we had an Irish group perform for us.
We are unable to invite all parents as Connolly hall has a limit to the number were legally allowed in. What we want like to try is to invite parents/caregivers from one room to each week, so you get a chance to attend one of the assemblies. For Monday 7th May, any parents from room ten are invited to our assembly starting at 9:00am

Senior Syndicate Camp 2012!
At Sacred Heart Cathedral School, the Senior Syndicate is going on camp next week. This camp is held every two years at Forest Lakes Camp. The Seniors will be participating in a number of fun activities such as abseiling, horse riding, mud slide and water slide, kayaking on the lake, confidence course, swimming pools and a lot more! They have been grouped into cabins of four or more, along with some of their friends! All three of the Senior teachers are going... I wonder if the teachers are up for the mud slide??? The Senior students will be leaving by bus on Monday at 9am. We will have fun activities throughout the week until Thursday...when it's time to leave :( One of the days up there we are going to see a movie in Levin, and there are other days when we have a concert and fashion show...Wonder what the boys will be wearing hmm? Anyway, this is the end of the CAMP 2012 blog... We will be sure to keep you posted with more information and pictures! Good...bye!!! :D
